Terms of Use

These terms apply to papercliplaw.com. Using the site means you accept them. They are deliberately short.

This site is information, not advice

Everything here is general information about areas of law we work in. It is not legal advice, and it is not a substitute for it. Law changes, and how it applies depends entirely on your circumstances. Some of the material on this site was written years ago and may no longer be current.

Do not act, or decide not to act, on the basis of anything you read here. Talk to a lawyer about your actual situation first.

Using this site does not make us your lawyers

No solicitor-client relationship is created by reading this site, emailing us, calling us, or sending an enquiry through a form. We become your lawyers only when we have checked for conflicts, agreed to act for you, and confirmed that in writing.

Until that happens, anything you send us is not privileged and not confidential in the way information from a client is. That matters in a practical way: if we are already acting for someone on the other side of your matter, we may not be able to help you, and we cannot promise to keep what you have sent us from them.

For that reason, please keep website enquiries brief. Tell us the type of matter and how to reach you, and leave the details until we have confirmed we can act.

Links to other sites

Where we link to another website, it is because we thought it was useful. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, accuracy or privacy practices.
